Get World Respawn

It runs in the browser, so there’s nothing to download from a store. Add it to the tablet’s home screen and it opens like any other app: full screen, with its own icon.

Put it on the home screen

Do this on the device your child will use. It takes under a minute.

iPad or iPhone

  1. Open this website in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add. The icon is on the home screen.

Android tablet or phone

  1. Open this website in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu (the three dots), then Install app. If you see Add to home screen instead, use that.
  3. Follow the prompt. The icon is on the home screen.

Chromebook, Windows or Mac

  1. Open this website in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the install button at the right-hand end of the address bar, or open the browser’s menu and choose to install it.

Then hand it over

  1. Open World Respawn from its home-screen icon. There is nothing to sign up for: the app makes an account for the device by itself, with no name or email address in it.
  2. A friendly guide starts the first lesson, and your child can stop it whenever they like. Their Worlds are saved online as they go.
  3. Tap Save code on the home screen and write the 16-digit code down, or take a photo. On another device, or after putting the app back, tap I have a code and type it in, and the same Worlds open.
